Bhubaneswar : The 2nd edition of Odisha Financial Inclusion Conclave organized by OSAFII (Odisha State Association of Financial Inclusion Institutions) was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of Women and Child Development and MSME Mr. Prafulla Samal at Hotel May Fair Convention hall.
“All key stakeholders should join their hands to provide affordable financial services to the underserved”, said Mr. Prafulla Samal. Mr. Samal communicated about different schemes implemented by Govt. of Odisha for upliftment of rural women to support their family. He also appreciated the contribution of OSAFII members for providing financial services in the remote regions.
The main purpose of the program is to promote and strengthen the effective co-ordination and synergy among all stakeholders for expanding financial inclusion collectively in the state of Odisha. The conclave focuses on the full diversity of issues and challenges that impede and advance the financial inclusion initiatives in the state.
Mr. Rishi Dwivedi, GM, SIDBI congratulate OSAFII for organizing the 2nd Odisha State Financial Inclusion Conclave. He elaborated about the initiatives adopted by SIDBI to empower women entrepreneurs.
Mr. Dibyajyoti Pattnaik, President OSAFII said – “Access to credit enables businesses to expand, creating jobs and reducing inequality”.
Shri Mahendra Soren, CGM-NABARD, Shri P. K. Biswal, IAS, – Director-Institutional Finance, Dept of Finance, Govt of Odisha, Shri P.Satish- Executive Director, Sa-Dhan, ,Sri Gautam Bhatacharya, GM SBI, Sri Rishi Diwedi, GM, SIDBI, Sri AK Agrawal DGM Outreach SBI, Sri BK Dash from OLM, Mr. M Amin Secretary OSAFII were among the dignitaries who were present during the inaugural session. The session was presided over by Sri Dibyajyoti Pattnaik, President of OSAFII and the overview of the institution was presented by Sri Narendra Nayak, CEO OSAFII.
Around 400 representatives from Self Help Groups, Banks, Government Agencies, Financial Institutions. SHPIs from 30 districts of the state participated in the said conclave.
Minister Mr. Samal, felicitated the representatives of Mission Shakti, OLM, SUDA, SBI, AMFIN, Sa-Dhan, Yes Bank, DCB Bank etc agencies for their remarkable contribution in financial inclusion sector
Organizations like SIDBI, DFID, NABARD, SAMBANDH, Adhikar, Sampark, Jana Bank, Esaf Small Finance Bank, Aditya Birla Capital, DHFL, Gram Utthan sponsored the program.
The conclave brings a convergence environment among all stakeholders for expanding financial inclusion services for the underserved regions of the state. Mr Deepak Kindo , Mr Govind Dash, Smt Nayana Mohanty and Mr Jugal Kishore Pattnayak coordinated the program.
