Bhubaneswar: The severe cyclonic storm ‘BulBul’ passed over the coastal districts without making the land fall on 9th Nov 2019. Around 16 lakhs consumers of Kendrapada, Jagatsighpur under CESU and Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Keonjhar and Balasore districts under NESCO affected.
Today upto 1.00 PM major power structures are restored. Approx 2.25 Lakh consumers are to be restored. It is expected 70,000 consumers in Kendrapada,Jagtsinghpur & 60,000 of Mayurbhanj,Jajpur,Bhadrak and part of Balasore under NESCO area will be restored by 10th Nov evening. 48 gangs have been deployed in the affected districts under NESCO and thirty gangs are already engaged in CESU area to restore lines & S/S to ensure power supply to all consumers. All field officers & senior officers of CESU & NESCO are supervising and monitoring restoration work.
