Kaniha : NTPC Talcher Kaniha under its CSR initiative has distributed water filters at Badahira Upper Primary school, Kaniha on 04/02/2019. The distribution of water filters intends to promote use of clean water among the students. The water filters removes the heavy minerals present in the potable water available in the region as most of the villagers are depended on ground water.
The water filters were distributed in the presence of DGM(HR), Shri P. K. Sahu, Officer (HR), Shri M. V. Rao. Shri Sahu on the occasion speaking to the schoolchildren said that “Health is Wealth” and to maintain good health to intake of pure water is necessary.
110 nos. of water filters distributed on this occasion. The Headmaster of this High School, school teachers & school children in large numbers were also present and appreciated the CSR intiative of NTPC Kaniha. Till date 1250 water filers in around 25 schools were distributed by the power station.
