Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resumed office from Shastri Bhawan today amid the lockdown

New Delhi: Union Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resumed office from Shastri Bhawan today amid the lockdown to review the operations in the oil and gas value chain. Measures like sanitisation,  Social Distancing and working with skeletal staff are being followed to minimise the risk of infection.

Minister Pradhan along with officials of MoPNG reviewed the ongoing operations of India’s Strategic Petroleum Reserves Program in the light of prevailing low crude oil prices.

Minister Pradhan conducted a meeting with officials of MoPNG and OMCs via video-conferencing to review several aspects related to marketing and supply of essential petroleum products including petrol, diesel and LPG. He instructed officials of ISPRL to augment storage of crude in the strategic reserves to further enhance India’s energy security.
