New Delhi: Union Cabinet approves a path breaking scheme that will provide pension cover to crores of farmers. The Central Government would spend Rs 10774.5 crores for a period of 3 years.
Cabinet approves extension of PM-Kisan yojana to all farmers. Nearly 14.5 crore farmers to benefit from the scheme.PM Kisan to be extended to the addition 2 crore farmers who have landholding of more than 2 hectares. No of beneficiaries estimated go up from 12.5 crore to 14.5 crore. Budget from Rs 75,000 Cr to Rs.87,000 Cr.
