UNICEF India representative met Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, UNICEF to expand community radio programme

Bhubaneswar: Unicef India representative Dr Yasmin Ali Haque met Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik in the state secretariat. Unicef India representative Dr Yasmin Ali Haque appreciated the state government efforts for health and well-being of mothers and children in the state. Odisha has achieved the sharpest decline in infant mortality rate in the country.
Both discussed strengthening cooperation in areas of maternal and child health, nutrition and education. Dr Haque informed that the community radio programme will be expanded. She stated, the SLN Medical College and Hospital at Koraput will completely transform healthcare services in the tribal area. The Government is ready to extend all support to further the development goals.
