Bhubaneswar: Supreme Court upholds constitutional validity of Aadhaar.The top court today said that the Aadhaar scheme does not violate the right to privacy and is constitutionally valid.

Passing of bill as money bill when it does not qualify as a money bill is a fraud on Constitution, violates Basic Structure, DY Chandrachud dissents. Justice AK Sikri asks Centre to “introduce strong data protection law as soon as possible”. Aadhaar cannot be mandated for School admissions says Supreme Court. Aadhaar cannot be mandated for opening of bank accounts, mobile connections says Supreme Court. Aadhaar not mandatory for CBSE, UGC, NEET exams anymore says Supreme Court. Aadhaar card is mandatory for PAN linking says Supreme Court. Supreme Court says, “the government needs to ensure that illegal migrants do not get Aadhaar card” .
