Bhubaneswar: Supreme Court stays Orissa Hight Court decision on mandatory Covid19 test of migrants before allowing them to return home.
A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, S K Kaul and B R Gavai stayed the order on a mentioning made by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta. The Ministry of Home Affairs had filed an urgent Special Leave Petition saying that the order of the High Court was “unworkable”.
It should be noted that On Thursday, Surat Collector Dhaval Patel had stated that the trains from Surat to Odisha were cancelled following Orissa HC orders. The State apex court ruled that only those who test negative for #Covid_19 be allowed to return to Odisha from other States
