Reliance Foundation organizes Free Health Check-Up Camp for Truck Drivers on World AIDS Day- 2019

Bhubaneswar: Reliance Foundation, the CSR arm of Reliance Industries Limited conducted a free medical check-up camp for truckers as part of Wellbeing of Truck Drivers at Reliance Petrol Pump on NH-16 at Khantapada in Balasore on Monday (2nd December), on the eve of World AIDS Day-2019.

The free medical check-up camp organized by Reliance Foundation in association with Odisha State Aids Control Society (OSACS), Bhubaneswar, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Odisha and Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital witnessed participation of total 106 truck drivers, helpers and nearby villagers from Khantapada, Kaspajeypur Oliapatana, Chitapada and Chakakagannathpur villages.

Screening and EYE check-up, Blood Pressure, Sugar etc. were conducted with help of Dr. Agarwals Eye hospital, Cuttack and Dr. Rebanta Dash, Senior Medical officer, Reliance Industries Limited, Bhubaneswar.

District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU) Balasore also conducted HIV testing for truckers and shared instant test reports along with providing counselling regarding HIV/AIDS awareness, safe sex and contraceptive use.

Mr. Anurag Dey, Truck Stop Manager from Reliance Petro Marketing and his team along with Mr. Dilip Pradhan from Reliance Foundation coordinated and provided support for organising of the health Camp.
