Mumbai: Ranveer Singh reveals his Kapil Dev look from ’83’ on birthday. Ranveer Singh essays the role of KapilDev, while Deepika will enact the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev.
’83 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language sports drama film, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Madhu Mantena. Deepika Padukone later joined the team of producers.The film, bankrolled by Reliance Entertainment, stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil, reprising the India national cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. In September 2017, Reliance Entertainment hosted an event to announce the film along with the entire former team that lifted the world cup in 1983.The cinematography of the film is in the hands of Aseem Mishra.
