PM Narendra Modi dedicates Jharsuguda Airport to nation, flagged off UDAN flight from Jharsuguda to Raipur

Jharsuguda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicates Jharsuguda Airport to nation. PM Narendra Modi also flagged off UDAN flight from Jharsuguda to Raipur from Veer Surendra Sai Airport.

India’s aviation sector is being transformed rapidly. This augurs well for 125 crore Indians said PM Narendra Modi . This airport in Jharsuguda is well located to serve the needs of the people of Odisha. This is going to be the second airport in the state. While being happy this airport is opening, we also need to wonder why it took so many years for a second airport in Odisha said PM Narendra Modi.Connectivity is at the core of all round development. Our Government has devoted significant efforts to enhance connectivity all over the nationsaid PM Narendra Modi.

“I had requested PM Modi to name the  Jharsuguda Airport after freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai whose contribution is immeasurable; my govt has sanctioned 120 acre land for the airport free of cost & also Rs 75 crore from the State fund,” said Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik.

Jharsuguda Airport will be the 32nd UDAN airport (19th Unserved) being connected under RCS Scheme. PM Narendra Modi dedicates Jharsuguda Airport to the nation in presence of Odisha CM NaveenPatnaik, Governor Ganeshi Lal, Union Ministers Suresh Prabhu, Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram .
