Patiala: Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Kumar Amit said that with the arrival of 8,35,070 metric tonnes of wheat by Wednesday evening, the district has met the target of expected arrival for the Rabi season.
He said that out of this arrival about 8,31,625 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured, by adding that oot of the Procured wheat, 70.28 percent has been lifted.
The deputy commissioner said that today10853 metric tonnes of wheat reached the mandis and 12505 metric tonnes of wheat was procured. So far, a total of 8,31,625 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured from the the mandis. Giving the details of agencies who procured the wheat, he said that Pungrain has procured 2,13,166 MT, Markfed 2,10,775 MT, PUNSUP 2,09,530 MT, Punjab Warehousing Corporation 1,39,735 MT, FCI 58,269 MT and traders have procured 150 MT.
