Bhopal: Food Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection Minister Shri Bisahulal Singh informed that the state government has targeted the one crore 11 lakh 32 thousand eligible families covered under the Food Security Act 2013 through the fair price shops under the public distribution system lump of food is being distributed for the months of April, May, and June 2021. He said that arrangements have been made to give lump sum ration to the eligible beneficiaries, in order to break the chain of corona infection
Minister Shri Singh said that under this, the free ration will be distributed to the beneficiaries. The state government will bear the expenditure on this. Foodgrains of July and August will be given free of cost to the beneficiaries who have received ration by paying one rupee per kg in April or May.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana
Minister Shri Singh said that the eligible beneficiaries included under the National Food Security Act under the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Scheme will be able to get food grains free of cost in addition to 5 kg per month per person in May and June. This food will be in addition to the food grains given by the state government every month.
One Nation – One Ration Card
Food Minister Shri Bisahulal Singh said that under the One Nation-One Ration Card, migrant labourers who are holding ration cards as per eligibility category can get food grains from any fair price shop in the state through portability. He said that the facility of registering migrant labourers through Gram Panchayats / Urban Bodies on the ‘My Ration’ mobile app of the Government of India has been provided, so that food grains can be distributed to them in a convenient manner. He said that all the eligible migrant labourers should go to their local bodies and register so that they can get ration material under portability.
