Angul: The O.P. Jindal Community College (OPJCC), Angul has been selected as one of the Training of Trainer (ToT) centers by Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI). The ToT Centre was inaugurated today by BDO, Angul Mr. Mayadhar Behera in presence of JSPL’s GM (CSR) Mrs. Puspalata Satapathy, Principal of OPJCC, Angul Er. Gopal Chandra Pradhan, other distinguished guests and OPJCC staffs. In the inaugural programme, 49 trainers joined OPJCC for training.
Inaugurating the programme, Mr. Mayadhar Behera emphasized on the importance of training programs to achieve the Odisha Government’s target to construct houses under various schemes. He advised the participants to acquire the skill in modern construction techniques and contribute in skill development of masons working in rural areas.
Congratulating OP Jindal Community College Team, JSPL ‘s Chief Operation Officer Sri Pankaj Gautam said ” Skilling the Rural Youth for augmenting their employability has been one of the top priorities our Chairman Sri Naveen Jindal Ji. In fact the OPJCC model is a translation of Sri Jindal ‘s dream for building a better tomorrow for Next Generation”.
The ToT program unveiled today will continue till 14th Nov and Mr. Khagesh Sahu and Mr. Abhisek Tripathy will provide training to 49 trainers in two separate batches said Er. Gopal Chandra Pradhan.
Director of OPJCC, Dr. Miriam J. Carter congratulated OPJCC, Angul team for organising the programme.
In the programme, Mrs. Puspalata Satapathy advised the Trainers to understand the new training skills from the Lead Trainers and disseminate the same to the rural masons for the benefit and development of one and all.
