Bhubaneswar: To mitigate the enormous difficulties being faced for cooking food in the cyclone and flood ravaged districts of Gajapati,Ganjam Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have come forward to help residents of these districts, who are at present LPG consumers , in obtaining domestic gas cylinders. As per the directive of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, OMCs have declared that residents (present LPG consumers) will be given assistance as per the following details –1. BPL families can obtain domestic gas cylinder (empty) by paying Rs 200/- to the nearest distributor.2. APL families can obtain domestic gas cylinder (empty) by paying Rs 1200/- to the nearest distributor.3. Special camps will be conducted by distributors of OMCs in far-flung areas to facilitate distribution.Residents (present LPG consumers) who have lost all their documents are to submit proof from government agencies like the Tahasil Office/Block office/GP office certifying that they have been affected by the cyclone Titli and (or) flood (caused by Titli).
