Odisha Tourism Minister Urged to provide funds to state under ‘Swadesh Darshan’ Scheme

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Tourism & Culture Minister Sri Ashok Chandra Panda has met Union Tourism Minister Sri Alphons Kannanthanam today in New Delhi and has requested for sanction of funds for development of rural circuit and spiritual circuit in the state, keeping in view infrastructure development in tourism sector. Sri Panda also said that Odisha has already requested the Centre for both the sanctions under ‘Swadesh Darshan’ scheme in October, 2015 and January, 2016 respectively. The meeting was held in the office chamber of Union Minister in Transport Bhawan today forenoon.
Sri Panda also drew attention of the Union Minister to implement Light & sound Show at Khandagiri which has been pending for long. He also emphasized on promotion of diamond Quadrangle of Buddhist sites of Odisha in India Tourism Publicity Campaign.
