Bhubaneswar: Odisha ranks high in India as a State that beats Corruption . Odisha features as one of the least corrupt states in the recently released India Corruption Survey 2019. This is a befitting endorsement of the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption & principles of transparency through 5T & Mo Sarkar espoused by CM Naveen Patnaik.

LocalCircles conducted the India Corruption Survey-2019 in collaboration with Transparency International India. The independent organisation studied 21 states in which 81,0000 respondents (people) participated.

India’s overall ranking in the Corruption Perception Index 2018, released by Transparency International, has meanwhile improved in comparison to last year and now stands at 78 out of 180 countries.

Citizens responded low instances of corruption in states of Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, West Bengal, Kerala, Goa, and Odisha. Whereas, people reported high cases of corruption in Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Punjab.
