Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal pitches for Bharat Ratna to Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das. ‘Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das was a great visionary who was way ahead of his time and he deserves to be awarded with Bharat Ratna posthumously as a mark of our respect by the indebted nation, ‘suggested Hon’ble Governor in a function celebrating his 171st birth anniversary.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal paid rich tributes to Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das on his 171st birth anniversary held by the Utkal Sammilani here on Sunday.
The Governor remembered the Utkal Gaurav’s contribution in formation of Odisha and promotion of Odia language. “The Utkal Gaurav was a great visionary who could unite Odia speaking regions and formed Odisha. He had dreamt of a bigger and developed Utkal,” Lal said after garlanding Madhubabu statue at Raj Bhawan Square here.
