Odisha Forum organising seminar on “#Rasagola, the quintessential Odia delicacy”

New Delhi: The origin of Rasagola has now become a bone of contention on this back ground Delhi-based think tank Odisha Forum orgnaising seminar on “Rasagola, the quintessential Odia delicacy” on Friday, 30th March 2018 at 6pm at Lecture Hall No1, IIC Annexe, Lodi Road, New Delhi. This was informed by the Rabi Pani, Secretary, Odisha Forum.

Dr Asit Mohanty, well known author and litterateur, who has done extensive research on the origin of Rasagola and has delved into many ancient texts to share his findings during the seminar.

It should be noted that “Odisha Forum New Delhi” is a registered society established in 1998 led by a group of prominent Odias settled in Delhi-NCR (national capital region) under the able guidance of Padma Bhushan Jatin Das, an eminent artist.

Odisha Forum New Delhi functions as a think tank and helps in bringing together prominent persons to meet periodically and deliberate on issues related to Odisha. The Forum focuses on Advocacy for Odisha and brings the Prabasi Odias together with an interest in the enrichment of Odisha’s art, culture, literature and science thereby enhancing the image of Odisha.

Odisha Forum New Delhi has completed 18 years and presently has a membership of over 200 eminent Odias from all walks of life. The members include retired judges of Supreme Court of India, former chief secretaries of Odisha, retired and serving bureaucrats of the government of India, retired and serving bureaucrats government of Odisha and other states, eminent artists, lawyers, doctors, architects, business executives, academicians, students and other professionals.
