New Delhi: A roundtable on the occasion of Odisha Day was held on April 1 in the national capital city of New Delhi under the aegis of Odisha Positive in association with the Roots of Odisha Foundation. The panel of speakers discussed the issue of post-pandemic economic scenario in the state of Odisha and enumerated the opportunities ahead for according the eastern state its rightful place in development parameters..
The event was presided over by CA. Sudhir Kumar Dash and he distinguished panel included industry veteran Michael Jon Mattsen, CEO of MattsenKumar LLC, USA, Pankaj Gupta, CEO, vCloudx Pte Ltd, Singapore, Anshu Sarin, CEO Berggruen Hotels, Dr. Sadanand Sahoo, Dr. Srikant Panigrahi, director general, Indian Institute of Sustainable Development, Professor IGNOU, Lt. Dr. Srikant K Panigrahi, Director General of Indian Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD) while giving the finest remark on the idea of the Round Table Discussion highlighted the Potential of investment in renewable sector be it the Wind/Solar/Wave/Geo Thermal in Odisha given it has a vast coastline and forest valleys.
Setting the agenda of the Discussion and in his Closing remarks, CA Sudhir Kumar Dash drew the attention of the panel to the very fact that Odisha is a power surplus and politically stable state. In the opening remark advocate Sanjib Kumar Mohanty highlighted the vast language diversity, culture and peace which was already available in the state.
