Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik reviews Covid situation and directs administration to continue awareness campaign with support of Mission Shakti

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the status of Covid in state and directed the administration to carry out the campaigning for Covid awarness among people, alongwith  providing booster doses to Covid warrior and senior citizen.

The Chief Minister said that while the number of active Covid patients in the state is currently stable, the number of new positive cases has also declined. The third wave did not put much pressure on the hospital. But there is no room for complacency.

The Chief Minister advised the administration to be fully prepared and monitor the situation. He also urged the officials to continue its awareness campaign with the active support of Mission Shakti groups.

He encouraged ordinary people as well to take part in solving this great task: “One of the things you and other people can do is keep up the pressure and there are going to be some difficult decisions for government”. The Chief Minister also advised to monitor the health condition of the patients being treated at home separately.
