Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stones of liquid medical oxygen pants in 7 districts; oxygen plants now in all 30 districts

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday laid foundation stones for storage and distribution facilities of liquid medical oxygen in seven districts. With this, all 30 districts are covered with oxygen plants, from which production would start in next two months. The seven districts covered on Friday are Angul, Boudh, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Kalahandi and Nuapada. Besides, the CM inaugurated oxygen pipe-connected Covid wards in the Athmallik and Pallahara Sub-Divisional Hospitals, isolation wards in Madhapur and Kishornagar CHCs and Thakurmunda and Boinda PHCs besides vaccine storage facilities in the Deogarh DHH.

Patnaik said public health is the highest priority for his Government during the epidemic and not a single Covid patient would be deprived of getting proper treatment.

“The experience we have gained from dealing with the first and second waves of Covid-19 will definitely help us in the third wave and the work being done to develop medical infrastructure will further strengthen our fight against Covid,” he added.
