Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated 3 power projects in Kalahandi District

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through a Video Conference, inaugurated 3 power projects at Baner in Kalahandi District. The projects will supply reliable power to Jayapatna, Koksara & Kalampur blocks in Kalahandi district with plans to expand to other regions in future. The projects will benefit 30,000 families including farmers, women & students in the district, he said.

These projects include a 220/132/33KV grid substation at Baner built at a cost of ₹ 82 crores & 33KV feeder lines from Baner to Ladugaon & Badkutru. Residents of the district will now directly receive the electricity generated from Indravati Power Project.

Chief Minister further said that another 47km 132KV double circuit will be connected to Junagarh in future. He highlighted that mega irrigation projects, up-gradation of Bhawanipatna College into university, new Govt Medical College and Biju Expressway will further transform development landscape in Kalahandi.

Pradipta Naik, Opposition Leader, Sri Bhupinder Singh, MLA, Narla, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Secretary to Chief Minister (5T), Collector, Kalahandi and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
