Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik today made it clear that late Congress MLA Subal Sahu’s wife Rita Sahu will contest Bijepur bypoll on BJD ticket.
She along with her son Sumit Sahu joined the ruling party with around five thousands supporters, following which speculations over the Bijepur assembly constituency were rounding, which is going to face a bypoll soon.
It should be noted that , the Bijepur assembly seat is lying vacant after the death of Congress MLA Subal Sahu following prolonged illness on August 22.
