Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet approves proposal to set up a Handlooms and Handicrafts Development and Promotion Council in the state; Odisha Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Rules 2017 also got nod at a meeting at secretariat chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik.
Odisha Cabinet today included 5 lakh landless labourers in KALIA scheme. KALIA Budget pegged at ₹1633 crore, says Chief Secy Aditya Padhi.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal for the establishment of ASBM University by upgrading Asian School of Business Management (ASBM), Bhubaneswar.
The Cabinet also gave in principle approval to Odisha Secretariat Data Entry Operators (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2019.
To provide further promotional avenues to Data Entry Operators Cadre, the Cabinet approved to restructuring the cadre by creating another two new promotional posts namely Assistant Data Processing Officer and Data Processing Officer in lieu of abolition of 32 (thirty-two) vacant posts of Senior Data Entry Operator of different Departments of Secretariat.
The Cabinet also approved five tenders under the rural drinking water supply project. The Cabinet has decided to supply safe drinking water in the water quality affected areas of Bhadrak district under state plan RIDF funding.
