Bhubaneswar : On the eve of 85th birthday of legendary playback singer Shri Pranab Kishore Patnaik, a new Odia music album ‘Balighara’ was released under the banner of MO TV here at Press Club today.
Adhering to Covid guidelines with a limited audience, the music album ‘Balighara’, was released by Prelude Production and has been written by veteran lyricist Shri Satchi Mohanty and composed by an emerging music director Shri Sanjay Pattnaik. Satyabrat Sanu Ratho, the producer of the song tried to re-create the golden era of Odia music and literature by collaborating two legends in “Balighara”.
The release of music album ‘Balighara’ was followed by a calendar launch specially designed by My City Links, a city based monthly magazine and the sister concern of Prelude. With an aim to promote Odia designers, the My City Icons calendar has been conceptualized with Odia icons from distinct fields dressed with designer apparels. Every leaf of the calendar has been designed with utmost creativity by placing the views both from the designers and icons.
Dr. Subasish Das, Managing Director, Utkal Steel and Power Pvt. Ltd. joined the event as guest of honour along with other dignitaries. Icons from Odisha Shri Akash Dasnayak, renowned Odia film actor, Mrs. Anu Choudhury, Odia film actress, Mrs. Archita Sahu, an Odia actress, Mrs. Aruna Mohanty, eminent Odissi dancer, Shri Dilip Tirkey, legendary hockey player and chairman of Odisha Hockey Promotion Council (OHPC), Ms. Dutee Chand, world class athlete, Padmashree Illeana Citaristi, the Italian born Odissi and Chhau dancer, Shri Kuna Tripathy, veteran actor and chairman of Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC), Ms. Padmini Rout, emerging Indian chess player, Shri Rituraj Mohanty, prominent playback singer, Shri Sabyasachi Mishra, emerging Odia actor and Padmashree Sudarshan Pattnaik, renowned sand artist placed in My City icons calendar with designer dresses conceptualized by Label Rituparno, Shrikruti Creations, Zuby’s Designer House and Jyoshna Das.
Mo TV took it as a great privilege to release this Odia classic “Balighara” on the 85th Birthday of Shri. Patnaik. The song is a best tribute to the living legend. The event was also live streaming through various social media. The Odia song is also available on Youtube for the music lovers.
