Talcher: NTPC Talcher Super Thermal Power Station has bagged two Swarna Shakti awards i.e for Best Operating Solar Plant & Best Health Services for year 2017-18.
The award was received by Shri Santosh James,Chief General Manager,NTPC Kaniha from Shri A.K. Gupta, Director(Commercial) & Shri S Roy ,Director (HR) respectively in the august presence of Shri Gurdeep Singh , CMD, NTPC Limited during NTPC Swarna Shakti Awards function held on the occasion of 44th Raising Day celebration held at New Delhi today. In addition, NTPC Kaniha employee Shri Sanjay Kumar Rout working in C&I Dept, received the CMD Safety Award for year 2017-18.
On the occasion Shri Kulamani Biswal, Director(Finance), Shri S K Roy, Director(Projects), Shri Prakash Tiwari, Director(Operations), Shri P.K.Mohapatra Director (Technical) & NTPC senior officials were also present.
The station has been winning Swarna Shakti Awards in the past also, NTPC Talcher Super Thermal Power Station has bagged the Swarna Shakti award for Best Productivity Award (Performance Improvement – Coal) for the year 2014.The station also bagged the runners-up award for best hospital service among all NTPC Power stations & won the Best Employee Relation Award for year 2013 & 2012 consecutively.
