Bhubaneswar: The 68th Senior National Volleyball Championship is going to be held in KIIT University here from December 25 to January 2, informed KIIT and KISS founder and organising committee president Dr Achyuta Samanta at a Press meet held here on Monday.
He said this is for the first time Odisha is organising the Senior National Volleyball Championship. The final selection of Odisha Men and Women volleyball team was conducted on December 21 for the Championship. Top volleyball players in national-level would be participating in the championship.
He said Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick and Sports and Youth Services Minister Tusharkanti Behera and Bhubaneswar North MLA Susant Rout would inaugurate the championship.
KIIT University Sports director Dr Gaganendu Dash and office bearers of Odisha Volleyball Association, and Volleyball Federation of India were present.
