Mahatma’s granddaughter Tara Gandhi lauds for movement flourishing Gandhi philosophy in country

Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: Mahatma Gandhi’s the granddaughter Tara Gandhi Bhatacharjee lauded launching a movement flourishing Gandhian Philosophy and ideology aimed at keeping late father of Nation alive in the hearts and minds of country, she spelled out while attending chief guest in a symposium organized by Odisha Gandhi Forum on the topic of Gandhi Marg ‘A Chintan’.
Stating Gandhi belongs to the whole World and his ideology has been recognized across glove but sorry to say that our youngsters are ignoring Gandhian thoughts which has become irrelevant among them, so she appealed true followers and organizations working for Gandhian viewpoint to unit one platform run to effort encourage the youngsters in School, college and university levels following late father of Nation, She pointed out.
Ms Tara Gandhi said on the momentous day she also remembered her with Grandfather Mahatma Gandhi, when Mahatma was in jail she had written a letter to him after reading Mahatma had complained she lacks good hand writings and advised her developing it after writings more and more, also Ms Gandhi described her grandmother Kasturiba Gandhi who was a symbol of truth, forgiveness and represented the traditional Indian women.
Tara Gandhi who had conferred a French honour for her contribution in the fields of culture, education and environment suggested that time had now come for all the countries to enter into an international treaty in which they promise to destroy all armaments, violence, hunger and deprivation around us will end following footsteps of Gandhiji and nonviolence is the only healing touch to all misery around us, she emphasized.
Tara has been working for the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial trust for past 28 years for the needy women and children in rural India and her trust has been working for environmental degradation, female foeticide and sanitation.
Tara has come in recognition of her remarkable work for promoting peace, solidarity, culture, education and women empowerment in rural India was in two day visit to Jagatsinghpur, she was inaugurated Gandhi Udyana in Bagalpur under Biridi block on Wednesday and paid homage to late freedom fighter Gouranga Das before attending the Gandhian symposium held in Sanskruti Bhawan here on Wednesday evening accompanied by eminent freedom fighter Bhabani Charan Pattnaik, eminent poet Haladhar Nag, Manoranjan Mohanty, state chairman social welfare board Latika Pradhan and Forum chairman Rina Rout chaired the meeting.
