Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the work of all the sewerage projects sanctioned in the state should be completed on time. The utility of the projects should be ascertained before sanctioning them. Public money should not be wasted at all. The quality of works should also be taken care of.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the work and progress of urban sewerage projects of the state at Mantralaya today. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh, Principal Secretary Urban Administration Shri Manish Singh, Commissioner Urban Development Shri Nikunj Shrivastava etc. were present in the meeting.
Sewerage project worth 5 thousand 631 crore
It was informed in the meeting that 54 sewerage projects costing Rs 5,631 crore have been sanctioned in the state since 2015, out of which 10 have been completed, 37 are in progress and 7 projects are under tender/DPR process. A total of Rs 2,863 crore has been spent in these projects so far.
10 sewerage projects worth 1159.44 crore completed
10 sewerage projects costing 1159.44 crore have been completed in the state. These projects are in Sehore, Vidisha, Khargone, Dewas, Indore (two projects), Gwalior (Murar), Morena, Burhanpur and Neemuch districts.
Target to complete 13 projects by March 2022
13 sewerage projects will be completed between June 2021 and March 2022. These projects are Gwalior (Lashkar-3, target June-2021), Ratlam, Dharampuri, Budhni (target September 2021), Bhind, Amarkantak, Omkareshwar (target December 2021), Datia, Guna, Bhopal (Kolar), Bhopal (Bhojwetland), Anjad and Chhindwara (target March 2022).
22 projects targeted to be completed by March 2023
22 sewerage projects of the state are targeted to be completed from June 2022 to March 2023. These projects are Sagar, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Bhopal (Shahpura), Saikheda, Barwah, Maheshwar, Nasrullaganj, Shajapur, Mandleshwar, Chitrakoot, Dindori, Nemawar ( Target June 2022), Bhedaghat (Target September 2022), Katni, Singrauli, Hoshangabad, Barwani, Sendhwa, Narsinghpur, Mandla, (target December 2022) and Rewa project (target March 2023).
Complete 9 projects by June 2023
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that 9 projects should be completed by June 2023. These projects are Sanawad, Shahdol, Satna, Sanchi, Dhamnod, Nagda, Khajuraho, Rajnagar and Maihar projects.
First find the water source then lay the pipeline
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to complete the Public Health Engineering Department’s project of environmental upgradation and conservation of lakes located in Shivpuri city and the work of Mandakini River Conservation Project, Chitrakoot, on time. He also directed that in the works of Jal Jeevan Mission, first water source should be found, after that the work of laying pipeline should be done.
