Madhya Pradesh CM “Yoga se Nirog” programme

Bhopal: Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang has informed that the state government is launching a new initiative ‘Yoga se Nirog’ in the Corona era. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch it on April 23.

The aim of the programme is to boost the mental, physical and spiritual health and morale of the Covid patients living in the home isolation and Covid Care Centres. It will also increase their immunity against disease. In this programme, to be organised under the joint auspices of the Department of AYUSH, School Education Department, Indian Yoga Association and Patanjali Yoga Peeth, volunteers trained in Yoga will help patients living in home isolation to practise online yoga, asanas, meditation, pranayama through video call or phone call twice a day.

Each yoga trained volunteer will be allocated about 10 patients. Similar collective practice will also be done in Covid Care Centres by making arrangements. This programme will infuse new energy, enthusiasm, positive emotions and boost the morale of the patients living in home isolation and admitted to the Covid Care Centres, which will help them recover as quickly as possible.

Minister Shri Sarang informed that the latest VPSA technology based oxygen plants are being installed at 5 District Hospitals of Bhopal, Rewa, Indore, Gwalior and Shahdol through the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, an organisation authorised by the Government of India, at a cost of Rs one crore 60 lakhs. 300 to 400 liters of oxygen will be produced per minute, which will be sufficient for about 50 beds. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to set up an oxygen plant with this latest technology.
