Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today transferred Rs 88.5 crores through single click to the account of 8 lakh 85 thousand registered construction workers from Mantralaya. An amount of Rs 1000 has been transferred to each construction worker. So far, a total of Rs 184.6 crores have been transferred by the state government to the accounts of the state’s lockdown affected workers as disaster relief. Principal Secretary Labour Shri Ashok Shah, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri M. Selvendran were present.
Amount transferred for the second time
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, while talking to the construction workers through video conferencing said that this amount has been transferred to the construction workers for the second time due to the extension of the lockdown period in the state. Earlier, an amount of Rs 88 crore 50 thousand has been transferred to all registered construction workers in the state at the rate of Rs. 1000 per worker in the month of April.
Money sent to labourers stuck outside also
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that a total amount of Rs 7.6 crore at the rate of Rs 1000 per worker has been transferred to the accounts of 76 thousand labourers of Madhya Pradesh who are stuck outside the state also. Apart from this, assistance has also been provided to the workers of other states trapped in our state.
Both money and ration received, labourers thank Chief Minister
In the video conferencing, construction workers of various districts told Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that they have received the amount for 2 months and 3 months’ free ration. There is no problem of any kind. All of them thanked the Chief Minister for this help in times of crisis. The Chief Minister spoke to registered construction workers including Dayashankar Asati and Anand Chakraborty of Damoh district, Chandra Bhushan Sharma and Hariprasad of Hoshangabad district, Hariram Kushwaha and Madan Lal of Ashoknagar, Hansraj Mali of Shajapur, Amir Shah of Guna, Laxman Singh of Vidisha, Dinesh Raikwar of Chhatarpur, Ganesh Sardar of Burhanpur, Ishwar Vishwakarma of Seoni, Kailash Mali of Mandsaur, Jagdishji of Ujjain and Ishwar Lal of Ratlam.
Labourers told to take full care
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the labourers to take full precautions at their workplace and home. He told them to maintain distance of 2 yards from each other, not to shake hands, not to embrace, put on masks, wash hands frequently, not to spit around not to gather anywhere.
