Madhya Pradesh CM Plants Sapling of Maulshree in Madhyanchal Bhawan

Bhopal: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today planted a sapling of Maulshree tree at Madhyanchal Bhawan Delhi in morning. In line with his resolve to plant one sapling each day, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan planted this sapling during his Delhi visit. Resident Commissioner, Additional Resident Commissioner and other senior officers of Madhya Pradesh Government were present during the event.

The ayurvedic properties of Maulshree find mention in Ayurvedic texts like Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Dhanvantari Nighantu, Bhavaprakash Nighantu, etc. It is used to cure diseases like dental problems, constipation problem, stomach ulcer, cough and cold, and headache. It is also used for mitigation of Vastu Dosh and Mangal Dosh.

It may be noted that Chief Minister Shri Chouhan had taken a pledge to plant one sapling each day during a program organized at Amarkantak on 19th February, 2021 on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti. In the past also, during his stay outside the state, the Chief Minister had planted saplings in Bharuch in Gujarat and Jagatvallabhpur in West Bengal.
