Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister asks Nodal officers to monitor use and supply of oxygen in hospitals

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the oxygen tankers received by the state should be tracked continuously. We have to fully utilize all the sources. We have to make efforts just like little drops make an ocean. Efforts must be made to discover the possibilities available from the industrial units of the state and also increase the availability of oxygen concentrators. Coordination with the Central Government regarding the supply of oxygen is in progress. Arrangements should be ensured by assessing the need of oxygen for the next 24 hours in the districts. Nodal officers should be entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring the use and supply of oxygen in all small and large hospitals treating persons affected by Corona. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the condition of Corona infection in the state from his residence virtually. He also sought information from the core group formed for the prevention and arrangements of Corona. The situation in Katni and Panna districts was specially reviewed in the meeting.

12 thousand 572 gram panchayats follow self-imposed Corona curfew

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona curfew has been effective in breaking the chain of infection. The resolve to implement self-imposed Janata curfew has been taken in 12 thousand 572 gram panchayats of the state. Gram panchayats should ensure effective implementation of Corona curfew till April 30 in their areas and other panchayats should also impose Corona curfew in their areas through self-motivation.

Testing should not be reduced

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that testing should not be reduced and medical kits should be made available to all the people affected by cold and cough. Constant communication, medical kits and medical advice as per requirement should be ensured to patients living in Home Isolation. Covid Care Centers should be developed in such a way that they can serve as an alternative to hospitals for patients with less symptoms. It is also necessary to increase the credibility of Covid Care Centers by developing necessary arrangements there.

Corona Warrior Cell formed in Burhanpur

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan praised the innovation of District Corona Warrior Cell started in Burhanpur to help Corona warriors. This cell will help in the treatment of Covid affected central government officials, employees and their families. The cell will also make beds and life-saving medicines, testing and other assistance available to them.

Assess the effectiveness of home isolation

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that to assess the effectiveness of Home Isolation, a study should be conducted on how many people got healthy in Home Isolation and how many patients had to shift from Home Isolation to Hospital.

Effective action taken to control infection in Chhindwara

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that along with increasing testing facility for infection control in Chhindwara, effective action has been taken by turning infected areas into red, orange and green containment zones, while arranging for quick receipt of test reports. This type of action should also be taken in other more infected districts.

9,620 patients recover

Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman said in a presentation that today 12 thousand 338 positive cases have been registered in the state which is 850 less than yesterday. Similarly, 9,620 persons became healthy today. The state’s positivity rate remains 23.6 percent.

Kill Corona Campaign-2 launched across the state

It was informed in the meeting that instructions have been issued to launch Kill Corona Campaign-2 in the entire state. A survey of villages was conducted by 168 teams in Alirajpur, 323 in Barwani, 432 in Betul, 331 in Chhindwara, 308 in Jhabua and 471 in Khargone. Under this campaign, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Anganwadi workers and Health Department teams will conduct surveys in the blocks where there are more Corona positive cases and people affected by cold, cough and medical kits will be provided to them.

7,437 beds available in 141 Covid Care Centers

It was informed at the meeting that 141 Covid Care Centers with 7 thousand 437 isolation beds and 523 oxygen beds have started operating. There are 55 thousand 506 patients living in home isolation in the state. Out of these, medical kits have been provided to 43 thousand 680 patients and 47 thousand 975 patients were contacted by phone and given necessary medical advice. Eight doctors of private nursing homes in Harda are providing necessary consultation to patients living in Home Isolation through District Command and Control Center.

38 Corona Assistance Centers started in Bhopal

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviewed the prevailing conditions in these districts in view of high positivity rate in Panna and Katni. Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang informed that Corona Assistance Centers have been started at 38 places in Bhopal. Doctors will be available in these centers from 10 am to 5 pm. Oxygen saturation of people affected by cold, cough will be checked and medicines will be provided to them as per requirement.
