Ground breaking ceremony for cement manufacturing unit held at Kalinganagar, Jajpur
Jajpur : JSW Cement will establish manufacturing unit at Kalinganagar in Jajpur at Odisha. The foundation stone for the unit was laid today by Odisha’s Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Naveen Patnaik. The company plans to establish this manufacturing unit with 1.2 mtpa and will be operational by 2018. The JSW Cement manufacturing unit is part of the key projects announced by Odisha’s Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Naveen Patnaik.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Parth Jindal, Managing Director, JSW Cement said, “We are very excited to embark on this new journey in Odhisa. The Industrial development in the State of Odisha has been driven by large scale urban infrastructure projects and good labour relations. JSW Group has invested in Odisha through our Ports business and plans large investments in steel. Our new unit at Jajpur reinforces our commitment to stay invested in the State. Our ecofriendly products and world class manufacturing facilities across the nation are redefining the cement industry. We are proud to partner the Odisha government in realizing the huge industrial potential of Odisha. ”
JSW Cement supports the Make in India initiative by manufacturing differentiated cement products at its units in India. Following the commissioning of the Jajpur unit, it proposes to double the cement manufacturing capacity from 1.2 MTPA to 2.4 MTPA.
