New Delhi: Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) Shri Naveen Jindal was adjudged as the most valuable played in the finals of Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Gold Cup played on Sunday at Jaipur Polo Ground. He received the honour for scoring the finest goals of the finals, which changed the tides for team Jindal Panther, which lifted the Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Gold Cup 2019.
“It is first time in 30 years that I have won the MVP and it feels great. All of it happened with God’s grace and his kindness, and also my pony’s speed,” said Shri Jindal after the win.
Besides being a polo enthusiast, Shri Jindla is also an accomplished sportsperson and. He is a National Record Holder in Skeet Shooting. The Indian Shooting Team, under his captaincy, won a Silver medal in the South Asian Federation Games, April 2004. He has also represented the country in the Asian games held in Busan, South Korea in 2002.
Sri Naveen Jindal is also the Founding President of Flag Foundation of India and has fought a long legal battle for the rights of every Indian to fly the Tiranga, the Indian National Flag.
