Barbil: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) observed the 70th Republic Day at its 9 MTPA pellet plant, Barbil and TRB Iron Ore Mines, Tensa with great pomp and gaiety
on Saturday. Executive Vice President (EVP) and Unit Head of Barbil plant Shri Suresha G unfurled the tricolour in pellet plant premises in the presence of other
officials of various other departments and employees of the unit.
On the occasion, the Republic day message by JSPL’s Chairman Shri Naveen Jindal ji was read out. Mr.Jindal congratulated all the workers and employees of Barbil unit for
producing the highest ever pellet in the month of November and for their overall contribution in Nation building.
Shri Naveen Jindal in his message said, “We are extremely proud to be partnering with Indian Railways in boosting the infrastructure development in the country. We continue
to stay committed developing India’s infrastructure needs and contribute in Nation Building”.
He encouraged the employees and urged to continue the good work, and contribute for the holistic development of our country.
Over five hundred employees with their family members, school students and locals of periphery villages joined the grand celebration.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Suresha said, “Today we require youngsters with lot of knowledge and energy. We need to move ahead rapidly on the Sustainable
Development Goals that commit us to eliminate poverty and hunger and to facilitate universal access to quality education and healthcare, and to giving our daughters equal
opportunity in every field.”
For their dedication and hard work, 110 workers and employees of several departments of the plant were felicitated at the end of the event. Among others VP (Mechanical
Maintenance & Projects) Shri V.C.S. Rao and VP and Head (HR & ES) Shri B.B. Pradhan were present on the occasion.
At Tensa, Vice President and TRB Mines Head Shri Pramod Kumar Patra hoisted the national tricolour in presence of hundreds of workers and employees and read out the
message from Mr. Naveen Jindal. In his speech, Shri Pramod Patra congratulated the employees and workers for achieving the desired production from the mines in all the quarters. He urged everybody to show collective strength, commitment and hard work for attaining excellence in
future.
On this special day, 39 workers and employees of the mines were felicitated for their exemplary contribution.
