Rayagada: Every day the theme of JK Paper Mills’ logo, which describes “WE PLANT A TREE FOR EVERY PACK YOU BUY”, is realized in real sense and get reflected in the events like World Environment Day. JK paper Mills celebrated World Environment Day to create awareness on environment among employees. Sri P K Suri, Executive Vice President (Works) graced this occasion as Chief Guest and Sri Vijaya Mantry, VP (Manufacturing), Sri Bharat Agrawal, VP (Commercial) graced this occasion as Guests of Honour.
Suri said “We only think about ourselves. We should think for others those who are helping us. So this year Pollution Control Board goes with a theme i.e. Connecting to People”. Sri Suri sensitized all the employees for protecting the environment and said “Each of us should plant at least one tree in every function and celebrate the same for protecting the environment. Plantation is the only way to check the global warming. Through this activity we can save our mother earth and make it beautiful”. He also emphasized to create a clean and conducive environment & healthy habitat through appropriate SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT in JKPM township and adjacent villages.
