Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has expressed its interest to build a container manufacturing unit at the Paradip Port.
JSPL chairman Naveen Jindal on a visit to the Paradip Port on Tuesday discussed with the port authorities about the project, which would be the first of its kind in Odisha. This port-based container manufacturing unit would be built over 100 acres of land, which the port authorities have agreed to provide, it was learnt. Accompanied by a team of senior officials, Naveen Jindal had a meeting with the Paradip Port Trust authorities in this regard and also discussed about the JSPL’s proposal for a dedicated railway freight corridor from Angul to Paradip.
