IOSR handed over administrative files required for official use of Odia to Odisha Govt

Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Odia Studies and Research has handed over administrative files, required for official use of Odia, to the State Government. Institute president and noted linguist Padmashree Debi Prasanna Pattanayak handed over the document to Chief Secretary AP Padhi at the concluding ceremony of the first Odia Bhasha Saptaya held at the Secretariat here on Saturday.
IOSR urged the State Government for early use of Odia in the whole governance system.

“It is very easy to write official documents in Odia as there is no lack of proper words. All Odia words required for official use have been mention in the files. Officers can use their opinion and remarks in Odia too,” said Mr. Debi Prasanna Pattanayak. Pattanayak too demanded that the State Government take steps for establishment of the proposed Odia University and Central Classical Odia Organisation at the earliest.
General Administration and Public Grievances Special Secretary Ashok Kumar Meena informed that the department would do all works in Odia soon.
