IndusInd Bank gifts a smile to 3,000-plus under-privileged families in Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Tripura, others

 

Bhubaneswar: On the backdrop of India’s 70th Independence Day, IndusInd Bank has announced the successful completion of ‘Gift a Smile’, a CSR initiative conducted across 82 branches in seven states in Eastern India during August 3-13, 2017. The seven states include Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Tripura, and Chhattisgarh.
During the 10-day drive, IndusInd Bank branches organised special events and workshops to urge, encourage and motivate business communities, professionals, and entrepreneurs to donate old clothes, books, and toys to under-resourced schools, old-age homes, orphanages and in the process gave them a new life.
The said initiative witnessed a huge participation from the Bank’s customers. All the branches received positive response from various local communities. Today, the Bank handed over the collected items to the associate NGOs for further distribution to the under-privileged families. In Bhubaneshwar, this distribution took place with an NGO, ‘The Hope Charitable Trust’ in IndusInd bank branch located at No. 78, Janpath, Kharavela Nagar, Unit III, ‘Bhubaneswar – 751 001.
