IMD issued a dense fog alert for eight districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Office of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Thursday issued a dense fog alert for eight districts in the State for the next 24 hours.

As per the latest IMD bulletin, dense fog would prevail at one or two places in districts like Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Baleswar and Jajpur in the next 24 hours.

However, the weathermen further said that there will be no change in the minimum temperature during the next two days. But it will fall by two to three degree Celsius thereafter over the districts of the State.

Besides, the IMD had predicated light to moderate rain at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts from February 8 to February 9.

Similarly, light rain is likely to occur in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and coastal Odisha from February 9 to February 10.

On the other hand, dry weather is likely to prevail in the rest districts of the State.
