Bhubaneswar: Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) Paradeep Unit has bagged ‘Special Environment Protection Award’ in NP/NPK Fertiliser Plants with captive acids category by Fertiliser Association of India (FAI). IFFCO Paradeep Unit has been given this Special Award for winning the coveted Environment Protection Award for winning the first prize in the category for last four consecutive years since year 2017-18. The Unit had also won the Environment Protection Award for outstanding achievement in Environment Management for the years 2015, 2014, 2013 & 2012.
IFFCO, through its different Units has have bagged seven awards this year for excellence in different categories like Improvement in Overall performance of a Company, Best Production Performance (Nitrogen fertilizer), Environment Protection Award (without captive acids category), Research and Development /Innovation for Development of Nano Urea (Liquid) Fertiliser, Innovative work on Transfer of farm Technologies, Promotion and Marketing of Micronutrients in India apart from this award by Paradeep Unit in Environment Protection Award (with captive acids category).
The award for IFFCO Paradeep Unit was received by Mr R. K. Pandey, General Manager (Production, Environment and Fire & Safety) on 1.12.2021, during FAI Annual Seminar – 2021 held in New Delhi from Mr K S Raju, Honorable Chairman, FAI and Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Director General, ICAR. Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon’ble Minister of Chemicals & Fertilisers and Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and Mr Bhagwanth Khuba, Hon’ble Minister of State of Chemicals & Fertilisers and Minister of State of New & Renewable Energy, who were supposed to grace the occasion, could not do so due to ongoing busy parliamentary session. Both the ministers conveyed their blessings and wished success of FAI Annual Seminar at New Delhi .
