Wagah: Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman will be handed over to civilian authorities and representative of Indian High Commission at the Wagah-Attari border in Punjab. Wing Commander Abhinandan received by BSF and Air Force officials.
Pakistan Rangers handed over Abhinandan to the Indian Authorities after completing all formalities. He underwent a medical check-up and was debriefed by IAF authorities. From there he will be taken to Amritsar and subsequently flown to New Delhi in a special plane.
Wing Commander Abhinandan will be taken for medical check-up. The medical check-up has been mandated as the IAF pilot had to eject from his aircraft says Air Vice Marshal RGK Kapoor. Somehow, his release got delayed. We have not asked the Pakistani authorities the reason behind the delay. Abhinandan said it’s good to be back home. He was smiling says Amritsar DC.
