Bhubaneswar: Prof. (Dr.) Sanghamitra Mohanty, the former President of Odisha Bigyan Academy, under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Odisha, the former Professor and Head in Computer Science at Utkal University and former Vice Chancellor of North Orissa University has joined as Senior Professor and Dean, Faculty of Science at Sri Sri University . Her fields of research are Artificial Intelligence, Speech Processing, Image Processing, Natural Language Processing, Fractal Geometry and High Energy Physics. Prof. Mohanty has thirty Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) on Indian Language Technology Solutions to her credit. More than 180 of her research papers have been published in International Journals and Conference Proceedings. Prof. Mohanty has guided 68 Students for their Masters including 11 for Ph. Ds. . Prof. Mohanty has successuly completed several Major Research Projects of UGC and DIETY, Govt. of India. On invitation, she has visited a number of Institutions in India and abroad like, Princton University, University of Nebraska Lincoln, as Visting Scientist and Visiting Professor. She has visited different countries namely, Italy, USA, United Kingdom, Japan, Nepal, South Korea, Egypt, Sweden and UAE for Academic Participations and Collaborations. She has been recognized, awarded and felicitated by many Organizations and Institutions, the pestigious Samanta Chandrashekhar Award, 2012 for her contribution to Engineering and Technology being one among those. Prof. Mohanty has been conferred with Doctor of Science (Honouris Causa) by Rama Devi Women’s University for her contribution to Science and Technology. She is the Fellow of Women Engineering Society United Kingdom and Honourary Member of National Academy of Science India. She was also the Director of School of Women’s Studies of Utkal University from 2009 to 2011.
