Bhubaneswar: Essel Mining and Industries Ltd, a part of Aditya Birla Group was entrusted with the task of conducting Dengue Awareness Drive-2019 in the ward no 5 & 6 of the Barbil Municipality in association with Seva Group, Bharat Vikas Parishad (NGOs based at Barbil) and Aanganwadi and Asha Karmi workers of the concerned wards. EMIL enthusiastically started the Dengue Awareness Drive-2019 on Tuesday (30.07.2019) and held a preparatory meeting at Vikas Mahal, Barbil wherein the representatives of Essel Mining, Members of Essel Ladies Club, Seva Group, Bharat Vikas Parishad along with Aanganwadi and Asha Karmies were present. Among other areas, the cleanliness drive covered Girls High School, Tata Hutting, Government Nodal UGME School, Govt. Hospital Chowk, Municipality High School and Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir. Besides, premises of Barbil CHC, Mani Towers, Kelly Muhallah, Shiv Chowk and Mitra S.K. Colony area were also covered. The activities comprise bush cutting, garbage cleaning, chemical spraying, fogging and anti-larvae spray, door-to- door campaigning and massive awareness programme exercise. The Executive Officer, Barbil Municipality assured us all cooperation and help in this massive drive. EMIL CSR Officers Jyotshna Pati and Vishal Sakesaria coordinated the program.
