Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath said at the Christmas programme held at Govindpura Church today that the whole world will remember the contribution that the Christian community has made in connecting mankind and strengthening the spirit of love and cooperation. The Chief Minister said that today the world needs peace, brotherhood and mutual love. Therefore, it is necessary that we adopt the path of Lord Jesus and work for the all round development and welfare of man by eliminating the disputes related to caste, religion, language and boundaries.
The Chief Minister said that similar to various religious texts, the Bible is a book created by Lord Jesus, which aims at unity among the entire human race and all people should work unitedly for the upliftment of Poorest sections of the society. He said that Christmas is a festival which is celebrated all over the world. In our country also, people of other communities also participate in this festival along with the Christian community by following the tradition of brotherhood. He said that I have been taking part in this festival since childhood. The Chief Minister said that this culture of harmony is necessary to keep our country and the whole world united.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath was honoured by the Christian community. Father Anil Martin prayed to Lord Jesus on behalf of the Christian community to give success to Shri Kamal Nath in the work being done for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth and every section. On this occasion Sushri Shobha Ojha Thomas and a large number of people of Christian Community were present.
