Sunabeda: The Central University of Odisha, Koraput and The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Sunabeda have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the cooperation in the regional development today Sunabeda. On behalf of the CUO Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty, Vice-Chancellor, CUO and on behalf of the HAL, Sunabeda, Er. Debasish Deb, Executive Director, HAL signed the MoU in presence of the top officials of the CUO and the HAL.
While singing the MoU, Prof. Mohanty said “CUO and HAL are twin giant organization of this region. This MoU is about cementing the existing ties and to provide exposure to the young engineers and technocrats of the HAL and providing opportunities to their spouse. Also students of the CUO can get access to the facility of HAL and can get internship in the organization. The idea is to continue the CUO-HAL Distinguished Lectures”. “HAL staff can have access to the Library of CUO. Evening management course will be opened for the young officer and their spouse in due course. If we can’t make a difference at our own surroundings then we can’t bring changes around us. This MoU will help us to work jointly for the socio-economical and educational development of our vicinity” he added. Prof. Mohanty conveyed his thanks to the HAL for allowing the CUO family to have access to the medical facilities at the HAL, Sunabeda.
Er. Deb said while signing the MoU “gradually the demand was to provide courses in inter-disciplinary subjects and library facilities, this MoU provide a great opportunity for the young officers and their spouse of the HAL, Sunabeda to enhance their qualification”. “as far as the internship is concerned the HAL, Sunabeda is open and the students to come and carry out their internship. The researchers also can work out with the CSR team and explore the near vicinity for their overall development and in case this MoU is a great opportunity and it will make history in Koraput.” Er. Deb added. He said the University is achieving new milestones by the able guidance of Prof. Mohanty.
The scope of the MoU will include:
To promote and enhance mutual academic and institutional ties between the CUO and HAL. To provide advice for implementation of quality education at CUO & HAL. It also aims to provide academic interaction by organizing special lectures at HAL on topics of relevance and to provide necessary help with regards to personality development programmes at CUO-HAL enhancement of skills. CUO & HAL propose to collaborate each other in matters of mutual interest and to begin with, organize CUO-HAL distinguished lecture series by inviting renowned academician/researchers/ scientist/ experts from India and abroad.
Prof. K.C Raut, Dean Academics delivered the welcome address and Prof. Bhawani Prasad Rath, OSD gave the vote of thanks. The programme was coordinate by Shri. Tushar Ranjan Behera, DGM, HR, HAL,Sunabeda and Dr. Phagunath Bhoi, PRO. On this occasion top official of both the organization were present at the place.
