Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) would hold two crucial meetings ahead of the party’s foundation day scheduled on December 26. While a party executive body meeting would be held on December 20, a State council meeting has been scheduled on December 21, informed senior BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra at a Press conference here on Sunday.
BJD will complete 23 years of its foundation. Ahead of the occasion, the executive body and State council meetings of the party will be held at its State headquarters on December 20 and 21, respectively, in Bhubaneswar,” he informed. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is the party supremo, has approved the meetings on the scheduled dates.
He has directed to observe the party foundation day in blocks, NACs and ULBs, he added. BJD general secretary Sanjay Dasburma said that all party MLAs, MPs and members of the State council would attend the State council meeting.Some political drafts would be received and proposals would be approved at the State council meeting, he said. Besides, discussions would be held elaborately on the future course of action to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level.
