Bhubaneswar: Former Bhubaneswar MP, president of Ama Odisha Party and Editor of Odia daily ‘Sambad’ Soumya Ranjan Patnaik joins JD today in Naveen Niwas in the prsence of BJD supremo, Chief Minister Naveen Patanik.
CM Naveen Patnaik said Soumya Ranjan Patnaik will be a tremendous asset for BJD. CM Patnaik said party will announce Rajya Sabha candidates name in evening. Mr Soumya Ranjan Patnaik also announced Ama Odisha Party formally merged with BJD.
Soumya Ranjan Patnaik had formed the Ama Odisha Party in 2014 after he was expelled from Congress leader for ‘anti-party activities’.
He is a Media Baron-turned-politician and younger brother of former PCC President Niranjan Patnaik and son-in-law of former Odisha CM and Assam Governor Janaki Ballav Patnaik.
